On June 16, 2024, a one-day training on Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) sensitization was held for the staff of Annapurna Machha Dana Udhyog Pvt. Ltd in Chitwan. This training was a component of the MADE Nepal-implemented Commercial Agriculture for Smallholders and Agribusiness (CASA) programme, aimed at sustainably integrating smallholder farmer businesses into agricultural value chains to enhance their living conditions and economic status. GESI is a crucial cross-cutting theme within the programme.
The training aimed to promote equitable recruitment practices and foster an environment conducive to the advancement of women and marginalized employees. It was facilitated by a GESI consultant.
