A social audit was conducted by MADE Nepal to evaluate the project titled “Promotion of Forage-based Dairy Production as an Alternative to Rising Feed Price,” a collaborative initiative between CASA Project and Goras Green Feed and Resource. This social audit was focused on Sarlahi district of Madesh pradesh, working area of GORAS green field. The audit rigorously assessed all activities outlined in the project agreement document, which includes examining the implementation of forage production practices, the effectiveness of training and capacity-building efforts, and the provision of support services to farmers. The audit also evaluated the social impact on beneficiaries, including changes in livelihoods and community engagement, as well as the project’s adherence to environmental sustainability and regulatory compliance.
The social audit concluded with a review and feedback session, where preliminary findings are presented to key stakeholders, including representatives from CASA, MADE Nepal, Ward chairperson, Municipality Agriculture division, Farmers and Goras Green Feed and Resource.This session provided a platform for discussing the audit results, obtaining additional feedback, and validating findings with stakeholders. It also ensured that the audit conclusions are accurate and reflects the perspectives of those directly involved in the project.The review and sharing meeting took place at the Namaste Nepal Hotel in Lalbandi, with a total of 36 participants in attendance.
